Edit and archive products

Search Retail > Catalog, select the existing product and use its edit action. Update barcode, SKU, name, category, size, color, MRP or collection as needed, then save. Use Custom fields for additional typed attributes.

Editing updates the selected record rather than creating another item. A barcode already used by another product in the same organization causes a conflict. Keep barcodes stable and use distinct barcodes for distinct variants.

Business-detail edits preserve prepared-image readiness; they are not image approval or preparation actions. Verify the selected garment image separately when changing product imagery.

The catalog delete action asks for confirmation and archives the product. It is excluded from the active catalog and new try-on lookup, but historical results, analytics, garment media and prepared media remain. It is not a personal-data deletion or physical media purge.

Recreating or importing the same barcode restores the existing record and previous readiness. Review its image and details before offering it again. To keep an item archived, exclude it from later imports.

For actual data removal, follow Deletion requests rather than assuming catalog archive erases stored images.

Check a ready item remains available, an archived item no longer appears in customer selection, and old results remain intact. If a product has missing or incompatible custom values, resolve those before its next try-on. Catalog status alone does not prove that every workflow mapping is valid.
